Overview
When prompted to create a story based on a superhero, there are no limitations! In Visual Communications, we created a story based on a superhero whose powers were design-related.
Say hello to the Merge! The Merge is a character inspired by the merge tool in illustrator. Her powers consist of being able to combine (merge) any object together. For this project, I wrote the entire story as well as illustrated each page. I wanted to have a black and white theme but added lines of color as a symbol of the Merge's power.

Below are my initial sketches that I worked on in procreate to get an idea of how text would interact with my illustrations. After seeing how the illustrations worked with the text, I was able to begin my final pieces.
